Almost flat. The travertine reads as a plate held against the ceiling with a shallow domed diffuser pushed through the middle of it, and the walnut collar is barely visible from below. At 25 cm across and 10 cm deep it is one of the widest fittings in the range relative to its height.
That proportion matters more than it sounds. In a room with a low ceiling, a wide flat shape makes the ceiling feel higher, where a deep shade of the same diameter does the opposite.
Where it earns its place

Low hallways and landings. Nothing to duck under, nothing to catch with a wardrobe door or a loft ladder.

Rooms with a ceiling rose or a patch you would rather cover. The plate is generous, so it hides more than a small fitting will.

Real stone, so no two are the same
Flat and wide means you see the whole run of the block across the face, so the banding is more visible on this shape than on any other in the range. Yours will not be an exact match for the photographs. A life size macro sits in the gallery if you want to inspect the grain first.
Fitting it
People often choose this one to cover something: an oversized Victorian rose, a filled hole, a ring of unpainted plaster left by the last fitting. If that is you, measure the mark before you order rather than after, because 25 cm hides a lot but not everything. The fixing itself is quick, straight onto the ceiling point with the gear inside the collar and nothing to shorten. Warm white LED bulb supplied, no dimmer.
