A shallow half dome of travertine, 15 cm across and 7 deep, with a slot along the lower edge where the light escapes. The top of the dome is closed, so nothing goes up and everything runs down the wall in a wide even sheet.
The shape is the least regular thing in the range. It is not a cylinder, not a cone and not a sphere, and the lower edge rises slightly at the ends, so it reads as something shaped by hand rather than turned on a lathe. In a room full of straight lines that is the whole appeal.
Where it earns its place

Washing a textured wall. Lime plaster, brick, board marked concrete. A wide slot grazing downward is exactly the tool for this.

Entrance halls. One above head height by the door, throwing light down onto the floor rather than into your eyes.

Corridors that are too narrow for anything. Seven centimetres of projection is the shallowest arm free fitting here.

Above a stair. Light on the treads below without a fitting hanging into the stairwell.
Real stone, so no two are the same
A curved surface with no flat faces shows the block from every angle at once, and the pores open wider wherever the curve cuts deepest. Because the light runs along the lower edge, that rim is where the stone shows its structure most, and it is different on every piece.
Fitting it
Hard wired and a job for a qualified electrician. It hugs the wall at 7 cm, so it works in a corridor where a projecting fitting would be knocked. Mount it high, 1.9 to 2.1 m, and let the wash fall: hung at eye level the slot is visible and the effect is lost. On a stair, measure from the highest tread below it rather than from the landing.
